钟山之神，名曰烛阴，视为昼，瞑为夜，吹为冬，呼为夏，不饮，不食，不息，息为风，身长千里……人面，蛇身，赤色。

钟山之神烛龙，人面蛇身、赤色，身长千里；睁眼为白昼、闭眼成黑夜，吹气是寒冬、呼气为盛夏，其呼吸即化作风。
A thousand-li serpent-deity with a human face and crimson body. Opening its eyes brings day, closing them night; its breath turns to winter, summer and the winds.
