青丘山中有兽形如狐而生九条尾巴,叫声如婴儿啼哭,能吃人;食其肉者可不受蛊毒之害。后世渐演为祥瑞与魅惑的双面象征。
A nine-tailed fox of Green Hills whose cry mimics an infant. It devours people, yet eating its flesh wards off poison — later remembered as both omen of peace and seductress.
